Display of the operation of a public scale

Those who use a public scale have: mark the public scale with an external lytic sign with the clearly legible inscription: "Public scale, weighing range of ... kg to ... kg"; the word 'scale' may be accompanied by references to the nature of the scale, its intended use or its holder; immediately notify the commencement and cessation of the operation of a public balance to the competent authority. Those who use a public scale must ensure that: these are carried out conscientiously and impartially, and they shall be rejected if the user of the public balance, the operating personnel carrying out the weighing or one of their relatives within the meaning of Paragraph 383 (1) (1) to 3 of the Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) have a direct interest in the weighing result. Anyone who uses a public scale must ensure that the weighing result is certified by the signature of the person who determined it himself. The following information must be included in the certificate: the indication that this is a public weighing, Place and date of weighing, the contracting authority of the weighing, the type of weighing material, in the case of weighing of motor vehicles or trailers, the number plate, in the case of an actuated scale equipped with a counter, the status of the meter before and after the public weighing, as well as the determined weighing result. Anyone using a public scale must keep the documents relating to the certified public weighing for a period of two years from the date of termination of the weighing.
