Medical examination Approval
The study of medicine includes a state examination. Proof of the passed second stage of the medical examination is a prerequisite for approval as a doctor. Medical training includes: a six-year medical degree at a university or equivalent university, including a continuous practical training (practical year) of 48 weeks; first aid training; a nursing service of three months, a famulature of four months and the medical examination to be taken in two sections. The standard study period, including the examination period for the second stage of the medical examination, is six years and three months. The first stage of the medical examination is taken after a two-year medical degree. The second stage of the medical examination is taken after a four-year medical degree, including a practical year after passing the first stage of the medical examination.

You must register in writing for the medical examination. Use the prescribed forms. Submit your application with the required documents to the National Examination Office.
