Provision of information on population registers

Do you need the current address or certain other information about a person you know? It is possible to submit an application to the registration authority for the provision of a population register information.

As part of a simple population register information, the registration authority will provide you with a surname, first name, doctoral degree and current addresses for the person you are looking for. If the person has died, you will be informed.

Whether a registration authority provides you with information about the data of the requested person is at their dutiful discretion. The simple population register information is not provided if an information block is entered in the population register or if there is reason for the registration authority to believe that this may result in a danger to the interests of the person concerned or another person worthy of protection.
