Crediting and recognition of study periods and academic achievements Decision in medical studies Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.
At your request, the National Examination Office shall count in whole or in part: periods of in-house related studies, as well as periods of medical studies or related studies carried out abroad. Your academic and examination achievements in the course of such a course of study will also be recognised if they are equivalent. The crediting of your study periods and recognition of your academic achievements is carried out by the State Examination Office of the Land in which you are enrolled or admitted to medical studies. If you have not yet registered or admitted to your medical studies, the State Examination Office of the land in which you were born is responsible. The amount of credit depends on the number of your recognised proofs of performance ("certificates"). Equivalent proofs of performance are also recognised. Equivalence exists if your completed courses correspond to the courses prescribed in the Approbation Regulations for Physicians (ÄAppO). hint: The State Audit Office can only make a binding statement on the amount of credit after examining your proof of studies in the course of an application procedure.
