For each constituency, the municipal electoral authority maintains an official electoral register. Only those who are on the electoral roll can exercise their right to vote in the Landtag election. The basis for the registration in the electoral register is the registration register of the municipality. In principle, citizens entitled to vote who are registered in the municipality with their main residence on the 35th day (date) before the state election are registered of their own motion. The municipality will notify you with a written election notification no later than the 28th day before the election. If you have not received an election notification until the 28th day before the election, you should immediately check with your municipality whether you are registered with the voters. If this is not the case, you can apply for registration.
