Old, grey, or pink paper driving licences with an indefinite validity period are gradually becoming invalid. If your old paper licence has expired, you must apply for a new EU card licence.
Your driving licence categories generally remain valid. Exceptions apply to truck categories. Changes will occur there if you reach the age of 50. Further information can be found under "Important Information".
