Purpose

The Free State of Bavaria grants subsidies for the construction and expansion of the projects listed in Art. 2, nos. 2 to 4, no. 5, half-sentence 2, no. 6 (refueling and charging infrastructure for alternative drives) and Art. 8 of the Bavarian Municipal Transport Financing Act (infrastructure funding), insofar as these measures serve to improve local public transport (Art. 1 and 2 of the Bavarian Local Public Transport Act (BayÖPNVG)) in Bavaria.

In accordance with Art. 13 f Para. 1 Sentence 1 No. 5 BayFAG, the Free State grants subsidies until 31.12.2026 for construction measures by municipalities and districts to create accessibility and improve access routes.

Object

• Transport routes for streetcars and subway trains,
• interchange facilities,
• bus stop facilities,
• depots,
• Charging infrastructure in bus depots insofar as they serve public transport,
• Acceleration measures for public transport,
• vehicle funding.

Eligible costs

The eligible costs depend on the individual case.

Type and amount

The funding is granted as a subsidy.
The type of grant is a project grant.
The funding period covers the entire duration of the project.

The grants are awarded as project funding (pro rata funding or fixed-amount funding).
