The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) promotes measures for the use of renewable energies within the framework of the market incentive program of the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
According to this program, you can receive a subsidy for the installation of the following systems (basic subsidy):
- Solar collectors (also extensions)
- Solar collectors for combined hot water production and heating support
- Solar collectors for cooling
- Solar collectors for process heat generation
- Biomass systems
- Pellet boilers (also combi boilers)
- Pellet stoves with water pocket
- Woodchip boilers
- Log gasification boilers
- efficient heat pumps (with achievement of certain minimum annual performance factors)
Within the framework of innovation promotion, particularly innovative technologies for heat and cold generation from renewable energies are promoted:
- large solar collector systems for hot water production and/or heating support
- Solar collector systems for the provision of process heat
- Solar collector systems for cooling
- Condensing use in biomass plants (construction of a biomass plant with flue gas heat exchanger or scrubber or retrofitting of an existing biomass plant with these components)
- Particle separators in biomass plants (electrostatic precipitator, filtering precipitator, precipitator as flue gas scrubber without possibility to use the heat yield achievable by flue gas condensation)
For innovation funding, the special instructions of the BAFA on the funding conditions and the application procedure must be observed.
A visualization of the yield and/or an illustration of the technology of systems for the use of renewable energies, which is carried out in particular in vocational schools, technical schools, vocational training centers, inter-company training centers at the chambers, general education schools, technical colleges and universities or churches, is additionally promoted.
In addition to the so-called basic subsidy, there is a bonus system that can provide significantly higher subsidies. For example, anyone who uses solar collectors and biomass boilers in a particularly energy-efficient way or combines renewable energies with one another is also rewarded with a bonus.
You can find out more about the specific requirements for a subsidy and the individual subsidy amounts in detail on the website of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control:
