- Corporations, such as limited liability companies (GmbH), stock corporations (AG), and partnerships limited by shares (KGaA)
- Partnerships, such as general partnerships (OHG) and limited partnerships (KG)
- Sole proprietors (e.K.)
The Joint Commercial Register Portal of the German States provides information on facts and legal relationships that are relevant to legal transactions in connection with companies registered there. The commercial register lists, for example, the names of the individuals authorized to represent a company in business transactions.
You can view information free of charge on the Joint Commercial Register Portal of the German states. In addition, you can, free of charge:
- view the documents filed,
- download a PDF copy.
The Commercial Register can also be accessed via the Business Register, which was introduced on January 1, 2007. In addition to data from the Commercial Register, the Business Register publishes further information, such as annual financial statements of corporations or corporate announcements.
