If you wish to provide information on a business basis about the prospects of emigration and about living conditions in the country of immigration, in particular about employment and settlement conditions, or if you wish to give advice in these matters, you require the permission of the competent authority.

Permission may be granted subject to conditions and requirements. Subsequent conditions are also possible.

Proof of expertise
- Proof of qualification for the consultancy activity, in particular by means of certificates, diplomas and similar documents acquired during studies, training and further training.
- Proof is deemed to have been furnished if you have worked for 5 years as a dependent adviser at an information or advice centre.

Proof of personal reliability
- Curriculum vitae
- Copy of the identity card or passport
- Certificate of good conduct
- For recognized non-profit organizations: Certificate of exemption from the responsible tax office
- If applicable, certificate of non-objection from the responsible tax office

Further documents may be required.

The application forms are prescribed by regulation.

Preconditions

They must have the necessary reliability and expertise. The required expertise includes in particular:

Professional activity / professional experience,
stays abroad,
knowledge of the relevant German law,
Knowledge of foreign law with regard to the states for which you want to provide emigration advice, in particular with regard to the respective
- immigration law,
- citizenship law,
- labour law and
- social security law.

Hints

You must notify the competent body immediately and without being asked of any changes to the information given in the application or in the documents.
