Upon request, the list of structural engineers must include those who meet the requirements prescribed in § 66 of the Brandenburg Building Code.
The application must be accompanied by the documents necessary for the assessment of the conditions for registration. A decision on the application must be taken within three months of the submission of the complete dossier; the time limit may be reasonably extended once if justified by the difficulty of the matter. The application shall be deemed to have been approved if it has not been decided upon within the time limit.
Engineers who are established in another Member State of the European Union or in a country treated as such under the law of the European Community for the preparation of stability certificates are entitled to prepare stability certificates in accordance with § 65 (4) to (6) of the Brandenburg Building Code without being entered in the list if they meet the requirements prescribed by §66 of the Brandenburg Building Code.
A national of a Member State of the European Union or of a state treated as such under the law of the European Community must be entered in the register of external structural engineers, to whom the Brandenburg Chamber of Engineers has certified upon application that he or she fulfils the requirements prescribed by § 66 of the Brandenburg Building Code.
