If the BAMF has decided in favor of your asylum application, the BAMF will state in the notification you receive by post that you are either:
- have been recognized as entitled to asylum or
- have been recognized as a refugee under the Geneva Refugee Convention or
- have been recognized as eligible for subsidiary protection or
- there are obstacles to deportation.
If you still have questions or objections to the BAMF's decision, you must contact the BAMF directly. The contact details for this can be found on the decision you received from the BAMF, as well as the information on legal remedies, which explains how you can appeal against the decision if you do not agree with it (see "Further information").
On the basis of the BAMF's positive decision, you will receive a residence permit from the Migration Office.
The Migration Office will automatically send you an invitation by post for a specific appointment to issue the residence permit. Please do not come to the Migration Office without an appointment, as we cannot process your request without an appointment.
You can find details on how to make an appointment under "Procedure".
