Assistance is meant to support businesses with many different types of projects and by doing so to boost the economy and create new jobs. Here you can find out about the major forms of assistance for each industry and for specific business situations. There is also information about EU assistance opportunities as well as options at the federal, state and local levels.

If you want to produce an artistically outstanding feature-length film or documentary, you can receive funding under certain conditions.

If you are developing a screenplay of artistic quality for a feature-length film, you can apply for funding under certain conditions.

If you are developing an artistically outstanding program-filling documentary film project, you can apply for material development funding under certain conditions.

If you are eligible to nominate, you can nominate a short film for the German Short Film Award once a year.

The legal basis for the "Nationally Valuable Cultural Monuments" funding program expired on 31.12.2023. It is no longer possible to apply for funds from the funding program.

If you are unemployed and want to start your own business, you are entitled to financial support.

Wenn Ihr Projekt beim Deutschen Filmpreis nominiert wurde oder eine Auszeichnung erhalten hat, werden Ihnen Mittel für Folgevorhaben zuerkannt. Die Verwendung der Mittel müssen Sie bei der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (BKM) beantragen.
