  • If you are the owner of a property on which drinking water is required, you must have the property connected to the supply system of the responsible municipality (municipality or special-purpose association). This is associated with costs.

  • In the private sector, the broadcasting fee is levied per dwelling and does not depend on the type and number of broadcasting devices. The rule applies: one dwelling - one contribution.
    The broadcasting fee covers all

    • broadcasting devices,
    • smartphones and
    • computers

    within your apartment and in the private cars of all apartment residents. If a resident pays the broadcasting fee, this covers the obligation to pay the fee for all persons living in the apartment.
    This regulation applies to

    • Families
    • Shared apartments
    • Unmarried couples

    Are you a student living in a student dormitory? Here it depends on the exact spatial conditions on site. You have to pay a broadcasting fee if you enter your room through a separate entrance directly

    • from the staircase or
    • an anteroom or
    • from the outside.

    You do not have to pay a contribution if you can only enter your room through another apartment.

    Note: You must pay an additional broadcasting contribution for a second home.

    People with disabilities and recipients of state benefits can receive relief.
    Special regulations apply to companies, institutions and self-employed persons.

  • If you rent or buy a second or secondary residence in addition to your existing home, you must register it with the Contribution Service. This also applies to vacation homes and caravans that are used exclusively for private purposes and that you use primarily on a fixed location.

  • As an adult, you must pay a broadcasting fee for your home.

    Notice:

    If another person already pays a broadcasting fee for your home, you are exempt from paying.

    For citizens, the contribution changeover will be largely automatic as of 01.01.2013.

  • If the obligation to pay broadcasting fees no longer applies to you, you can report this or deregister online. The obligation to pay broadcasting fees no longer applies if you: - live in an apartment as a cohabitant or other resident and have paid broadcasting fees several times up to now - move into an apartment for which broadcasting fees are already paid - are entitled to/obtain exemption for certain social or health reasons.

  • If you would like to report "wild garbage", please contact the lower waste authority of your city or district.

    Wild rubbish" is waste that is illegally dumped in the open countryside, in forests or along streams and in public places outside the designated waste containers.

    This can be, for example, household and bulky waste, building rubble, building site waste, car wrecks, but also excess excavated soil (loose and solid rock excavated or removed during construction work). It is also "wild waste" if the waste has been covered with soil.

    Depositing "wild garbage" is prohibited and constitutes a misdemeanor. It can be punished with a fine.

    If the perpetrator of the "wild garbage" can be identified, he will be charged for the disposal costs incurred.
