  • If you have suffered damage to your health through no fault of your own as a result of an act of violence, you can receive care under the Act on Compensation for Victims of Violent Crimes (OEG). The pension is granted in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Supply Act and essentially includes medical and medical treatment, pensions for the injured and survivors and benefits for war victims.

    Compensation for pain and suffering will not be paid. Property damage and financial losses will not be compensated.

  • You can apply to the competent district court (family court) for a temporary injunction - protection against violence.

  • If you find a lost item that is worth more than 10 euros, you must report it immediately to the lost and found office in Town Hall 5 on Hinrich-Schmalfeldt-Strasse or to one of the Bremerhaven police stations and hand it in.

  • You can search for lost and found at the lost and found office at any time under "lost and found online".

  • The lost property office regularly auctions off lost property.
