As a person in need of care, you are entitled to care in a fully inpatient facility from the long-term care insurance if home or semi-inpatient care is not possible or is not considered because of the specificity of your case. In addition to the actual care services, the scope of services also includes social care and the provision of medical treatment care.
Your nursing care fund (health insurance) covers a lump sum of the following for fully inpatient care services:
1,023 euros per month in care level I,
1,279 euros per month in care level II,
1,550 euros per month in care level III and
1,918 euros per month in special cases of hardship,
in total, however, a maximum of 75 percent of the agreed home fee.
Inpatient care facilities differ greatly - not only in terms of costs. To find the right facility, it is important to look closely. Therefore, pay attention to the ambience and the atmosphere, observe the way the staff deals with those in need of care and talk to the residents in advance.
Advice on choosing the right care facility can be obtained from the social welfare office of your district or your district-free city as well as from the State Office for Care and Social Affairs of the State Administration Office in Halle. Information is also available from your nursing care insurance company (health insurance company).
