Purpose
The grant is intended in particular to support municipalities in the systematic preparation and implementation of projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a view to achieving climate neutrality and climate adaptation.
Object
Funding is provided for
- The introduction, expansion and continuation of energy management in public buildings,
- the creation, expansion and updating of concepts for the reduction of greenhouse gases (climate protection concept) and for climate adaptation,
- participation in quality management procedures related to climate protection,
- the establishment of a coordination office for climate protection (climate protection pilot),
- the creation of mobility concepts to present climate-friendly mobility options,
- other climate-related concepts aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions,
- Implementation projects for the systematic reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, in particular the refurbishment of outdoor and street lighting, traffic signal systems, indoor and indoor lighting in public buildings,
- Implementation projects for climate adaptation.
Eligible applicants
Bavarian municipalities, their associations and municipal companies as well as partners of the Bavarian Climate Alliance can receive grants.
Type and scope
Funding is provided on a project basis (project funding) and by way of proportional funding with the following funding rates:
- up to 50% (for municipalities in combination with the federal government's municipal guideline and for partners of the Bavarian Climate Alliance)
- up to 70 % (for municipalities and their associations)
- up to 90% (for municipalities and their associations in areas with a particular need for action)
