The election procedure and the determination of the election result are public.
At the end of the election, the election committee for the electoral district determines how many votes
- for each candidate and
- for each election proposal
have been cast.
The election committee decides on the validity of the votes cast and on all questions of doubt that have arisen during the election process and the determination of the election result. The election committee has the right to review and correct the results.
The postal ballot committee decides on the admission or rejection of postal ballots.
The responsible electoral committee (state electoral committee or district electoral committee) determines for each constituency and for the electoral area how many votes
- for each candidate and
- for each election proposal
and who is thus elected.
The election management announces the election result at the meeting after the election committee has passed its resolution. The election management publishes the election results immediately and notifies the elected candidates in writing without delay.
