Anyone may inspect the register of associations and the documents submitted by the associations. There is no requirement to demonstrate a legitimate interest in accessing this information. This allows even non-members to obtain information about the factual and legal circumstances of registered associations (e. V.).
In Bavaria, the maintenance of the Register of Associations is centralized at the local courts that are also responsible for maintaining the Commercial Register. For more information on online register access, see “Online Procedures.” The register portal is also used nationwide for announcements by the register courts.
