If, through information from the civil register a danger to life, health, freedom or similar interests of the person required to register may arise, the person concerned may affected persons can apply to have their information blocked.

However, the information block only prevents information from being provided to private third parties. Registration authorities and other public bodies continue to receive the required data transfers.
