The Bayerische Architektenversorgung (BArchV) is responsible for Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate.
It is an institution under public law with administrative autonomy and has the task of providing for its members in old age and in the event of occupational disability, as well as for the member's surviving dependants.
The pension fund is part of the statutory pension scheme and thus the first pillar of old-age provision.
Members of the Bayerische Architektenversorgung acquire their pension entitlement by paying compulsory contributions and/or voluntary additional payments.
If you belong to one of the Chambers of Architects in Bavaria, Lower Saxony or Rhineland-Palatinate, your membership of the pension fund begins on the date of your entry in the list of architects or town planners or in the list of junior members. The respective Chamber of Architects will inform the pension fund of your registration.
Data must be submitted via the membership survey form to verify compulsory membership.
Membership of the pension fund lasts for the entire duration of your membership of one of these chambers of architects. Consequently, your membership of the pension fund only ends when you are no longer a member of any of these chambers of architects. You can also terminate your membership by applying for exemption, provided that the requirements for this are met.
