- valid identity card or passport with current registration certificate
- the registration certificate part I (vehicle registration document)
- the previous resident parking permit
- Power of attorney in original
- legible color copy of the principal's ID card
- Identity card of the authorized person
- upon request by the LBV: Company car confirmation from the employer
- upon request by the LBV: confirmation of use of the vehicle owner
Preconditions
- You have your main or secondary residence in a Hamburg residents’ parking area and actually live there.
- The vehicle is registered to you or you use the vehicle permanently.
- You are at least 16 years old.
Hints
- You must display the resident parking permit visibly in the vehicle.
- A resident parking permit is also required for motorcycles.
- Resident parking permits cannot be applied for for trailers, as they are not motor vehicles.
- The resident parking permit does not guarantee a specific parking space, but only allows permanent parking in the resident parking zone where you are registered.
- A resident parking permit can only be issued for a specific vehicle (the license plate number is entered on the resident parking permit).
- If you use vehicles belonging to third parties, rental cars, or company vehicles, you also have the option of applying for a resident parking permit. Rental cars and company vehicles that are used on a rotating basis must be clearly identifiable as such (name of the respective company).

Deadlines
- The resident parking permit is valid for one year.
- An extension is possible starting 6 weeks before the expiry date. If the resident parking permit has already expired, an extension is no longer possible. In that case, please apply for a new resident parking permit.
Processing time
The online application takes only a few minutes. After the online application, the resident parking permit can be can be printed immediately at home. If applied for on-site, the resident parking permit will also be issued immediately if all documents are complete.
