In child day care, children between the ages of 0-3 are usually looked after. You need a child day care permit if you want to look after a child or several children outside the household of the legal guardian for part of the day and for more than 15 hours a week for more than 3 months in return for payment.
The permit for child day care
- is issued by the local youth welfare office (in Bremerhaven by the Office for Youth, Family and Women / Child Support Department),
- is limited to 5 years,
- may be subject to additional conditions,
- authorizes you to care for up to 5 other children present at the same time.
