The hunting license and the falconry hunting license are documents with which the holder proves his right to hunt. They are issued by the lower hunting authority responsible for the applicant's place of residence (the district administrative authority) as a one-year, three-year or one-day hunting license for 14 consecutive days. Many district administrative authorities also offer a corresponding application form on the Internet.
The hunting license can be purchased by anyone who has reached the age of 18.
- Persons who have reached the age of sixteen but are not yet eighteen may only be issued a youth hunting license . The application for a youth hunting license requires the consent of the legal representative.
- Young people who have reached the age of 16 may be issued with a youth falconry hunting license ; however, they may only hunt in the company of an accompanying person with hunting experience.
Information on the issue and renewal of hunting licenses or falconry licenses can be obtained from the competent lower hunting authorities.
