If you engage in prostitution in Germany, you are required to register with the authorities and obtain prior health advice. This registration and consultation requirement applies without exception to all persons who provide sexual services for payment. The health consultation and registration must be conducted in person. You will be issued a certificate confirming your registration. This certificate is valid nationwide and can also be issued in all federal states or municipalities.
If you are between 18 and 21 years old, you must renew your registration certificate after one year. If you are older than 21, you must renew your registration after two years.
