If you want to fish or go fishing in Schleswig-Holstein, you must pay a fishing tax for the respective calendar year. You can pay the fishing tax on site (at the competent authority) or via the online service of the higher fisheries authority.
The digital proof of payment of the fishing levy must be printed out or in electronic form (e.g. on a smartphone).
You do not have to pay the fishing tax in the following cases: in pond farms, in special fishing production facilities, in small private waters. Persons who fish in coastal waters on the basis of inter- or supranationally agreed access rights and persons who fish together with fishing rights holders or fishing rights holders or their assistants who hold a fishing license do not have to pay a fishing tax either.
