You may only use a vehicle subject to registration on public roads if it has been registered by the responsible registration authority.
The registration certificate part I (ZB I), the former vehicle registration document, is proof of registration. As the driver of a vehicle, you must therefore always carry this with you when driving.
You must apply for a replacement document for the registration certificate Part I (ZB I) in the event of
- Loss
- theft
- illegibility
If the registration certificate Part I (ZB I) has been stolen, you must report this to the police.
