The responsible regional inspectorate must be notified of the handling of hazardous materials containing asbestos immediately after demolition and renovation work on or in existing facilities, structures or vehicles containing weakly bound asbestos products has been approved, and no later than 7 days before the work begins.

Approval granted by a locally competent authority entitles a company to operate nationwide without the need for further approval.
The information on personnel and safety equipment refers to the company that intends to carry out the work applied for. Subsidiaries with their own personnel and safety equipment must submit a separate application accordingly.
If the applying company has no or insufficient safety equipment in accordance with the Appendix to Annex 2, the required equipment can also be rented or leased. Annex 3 must indicate which equipment is available in the company and which is rented or leased. As proof of the rental/leasing, a copy of the contract documents from which the mutual obligations can be taken are to be enclosed. The corresponding procedural instructions for keeping the technical equipment ready for operation must be enclosed.
