For certain activities involving refrigeration and air conditioning technology, you require a personal certificate of competence in accordance with Section 5 of the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance (ChemKlimaschutzV). In addition to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Chambers of Crafts and Crafts Guilds, other training and further education institutions or companies can also offer corresponding examinations and issue these certificates of competence. State recognition is required for this. You can apply to the Thuringian State Office for the Environment, Mining and Nature Conservation for recognition of your institution or company in accordance with Section 5 (3) of the Chemical Climate Protection Ordinance.
