The birth certificate proves the birth of a person, his first and last names as well as the details of the parents. You can obtain a multilingual birth certificate on the basis of the birth register kept in the competent registry office. The multilingual form contains, inter alia, the languages English, French, Spanish and Italian. The document does not require any further certification (legalisation/apostille) in the Contracting States to the Convention.
