You have two options for disposing of waste paper from your private household: your blue waste paper bin or approximately 2,300 public collection containers. These can be found at around 900 locations. Many of these containers have extra-large openings to make disposal easier.
Dispose of large quantities of waste paper at a recycling center near you.
If you use public recycling containers, please note the specified drop-off times: weekdays from 07:00 to 20:00.

Preconditions
When using storage containers, remember to
- to shred large pieces of cardboard or corrugated board,
- Do not place anything next to the depot container.
- Do not dispose of residual waste, juice cartons, or milk cartons in this way.
- Do not dispose of foils, cement bags and other dusty paper building material bags in the waste paper recycling.
Hints
Do you put your waste paper bin out for collection yourself? Make sure that the bin does not endanger road users.
The following belong in the waste paper bin:
- (Window) envelopes, notepads, calendars
- Newspapers, magazines, school notebooks, books, brochures, catalogs
- Cardboard boxes, cartons
- Paper bags
- Gift wrap
- Corrugated cardboard
- cigarette packs
- Paper/cardboard labels
- all packaging made of paper and cardboard (except cement bags)
